Where to stay

  • Best Location: Midtown/Edgewater/Wynwood
    • Accommodation types: Hotels and short-term rentals (AirBnB/VRBO)
    • Prices: Variable! If you book with time, you can get pretty good deals on AirBnbs.
    • Distance:
      • 10-15 min. from Ultra, Space Miami and MODE Miami
      • 15-20 min. from Factory Town
      • 20-30 min. from Miami Beach, M2, and Pool Parties
    • Pros:
      • Very central, close to everything. Plenty of places to eat and drink at walking distance.
    • Cons:
      • Limited availability, BOOK NOW!
  • Most Luxurious: Miami Beach (16st- 33st)
    • Accommodation types: Hotels and short-term rentals (AirBnB/VRBO)
    • Prices: On the pricier side. You’ll most likely have to keep your group to 4 or less. If you are willing to splurge, Faena, 1Hotel, and Edition are among the hottest accommodations.
    • Distance:
      • 5-10 min. from Miami Beach, M2, and Pool Parties
      • 20-25 min. from Space Miami and MODE Miami
      • 20-25 min. from Factory Town
      • 20-25 min. from Ultra (but there’s alot of traffic so it can be more)
    • Pros:
      • Walking distance to the beach and pool parties.
      • If you’re looking for luxury and the ultimate vacation vibes, this is the choice for you.
      • Places to eat and drink!
    • Cons:
      • Traffic can be pretty miserable, so if you are planning to head to the mainland during peak hours I’d plan ahead. (nighttime traffic is a bit lighter)
      • This is by far the most expensive option (not just because of accommodation types but also food, drinks, and getting around)
  • Downtown/Brickell
    • Accommodation types: Hotels and short-term rentals available
    • Prices: On the pricier side but the benefit is that you can usually find a place for large groups(5+).
    • Distance:
      • 5-10 min. from Ultra
      • 10-15 min from Space Miami and MODE Miami
      • 15-20 min. from Factory Town
      • 20-30 min. from Miami Beach, M2, and Pool Parties
    • Pros:
      • Very central, close to everything.
      • Can walk to Ultra!
      • plenty of places to eat and drink at walking distance.
    • Cons:
      • Traffic is pretty bad if you need to leave the area, but not as bad as Miami Beach. (And you can take a free Metrorail to skip some traffic)

Places to Eat by area

Things to do (besides party!)

  1. Water rentals are a very popular excursion in Miami and there are some really exciting options like car boats!
  2. The Frost Museum of Science is a great place to visit especially when there’s a laser show at the Planetrium, which happens monthly. You can immerse yourself in an awesome light spectacle to the tunes of artists like Led Zeppelin and Lady Gaga. Right next door is also the Perez Art Museum and nearby the Bayside Mall. You can really spend a full day in this area.
  3. Virginia Key Beach Park is a more quiet beach with more natural terrain including mangroves and wetlands. You can absolutely just enjoy a nice lie down on the sand but there’s also many outdoor activities such as paddleboarding, cycling, and hiking in the area.
  4. The Standard Hotel Spa in Miami is centered around wellness and relaxation.  If you are not a guest, you can still buy a day pass which typically includes access to Spa facilities ( sauna, steam room, and mud lounge), hydrotherapy pool, relaxation areas, and fitness center.  This can vary depending on the season so always check directly with The Standard Spa.
  5. Explore the Wynwood Arts district, there’s graffiti everywhere, cool vibey restaurants and bars. Can be a bit busy and hectic on big weekends.
  6. Explore Little Havana and indulge in Cuban Culture by enjoying the cuisine, watch the locals play dominoes, and visit some cigar shops.
